Double Feature

I enjoyed a great double feature this weekend thanks to Netflix. First up was Ed Wood – a very enjoyable movie. I think it could best be described as a tragic comedy. The performances in the movie are wonderful. Martin Landau certainly deserves all of the accolades he received for this film. Ed Wood might not have known how to make a good movie, but his passion and love for movies shows through and that makes him a character you care about (and, yes, laugh at a bit too).

Next up was Shaun of the Dead. Oh my goodness, I love this movie. I’m not even a zed-word movie kind of gal (although the fact I’m a serious Anglo-phile might have helped), but this movie had me laughing over and over again. Someone on the Netflix site described it perfectly “Zombie Romantic Comedy” – how cool is that?

Cat Pictures

Because the world doesn’t have enough, right? Some recent pictures of my cats. First up is Mishka. We had just finished playing a rousing game of door tennis – or door tether. It involves batting a ball (that’s tethered to the top of the door via a string) back and forth. He’s quite adept at it.

Next up, is Freya looking out from her comfy cube. When she’s not sleeping on my pillow, she lives in this cube.

The New Microsoft?

Action Figure

My friend Suvi sent me this link. It’s just wrong on so many levels. Will the toy go AWOL after awhile?

Site Redo

Well, I finally got around to updating my site. It took awhile, but I switched everything over from my home-grown blog to WordPress. I also redid the design and killed a lot of the site pages. I never updated them, so what was the point? So, what have I been up to lately? Not a whole lot – mainly working on my TARflies site. I went to NY in February. You can see the images from that trip here.
