Hey, I think this actually represents effective use of flash! Me! Using a camera flash and not ruining the photo!
Buttons
Posted by miri On 26 October, 2007
Last weekend while doing laundry, I found a button in the bottom of the laundry basket. I looked through all the clothes I’d washed and none of them had similar buttons. I was confused, but shrugged my shoulders and moved on. Today when at work and walking about, I looked down and thought, “oh, so the button came from the prior week’s laundry.†Yep. The shirt I’m wearing today is missing a button right at boob level. *sigh*

When he’s not sitting on my feet (and biting my toes) or sitting in front of the monitor or sitting behind the monitor and trying to push it over, Mishka is on top of the hutch laying on the router and this is the view I have.
The new routine
Posted by miri On 25 October, 2007
Batsy and I have gotten into quite the routine lately. Not only is he there on my driveway when I come home from work, but now he’s also joining me on my evening walks. He’s on my front porch when I open the door and meows at me as I get the house locked up. Next, it’s time to stretch my hip and hamstrings a bit – which seems to put me in a perfect position to pet him while he loudly purrs. He walks with me as I slowly go down the street until I get to the second to last house and where he breaks off to sit under a car. I walk down to the school, do three laps and then walk back. As soon as I pass that car, Batsy pops out from underneath it and follows me home. where I end the walk by stretching (and petting him) before going inside. We are like a sad, old married couple.

Maker Faire

I loved Maker Faire and someone who blogs at the Maker Faire site loves one of my photos. How cool is that?
I think the best thing about the event was that there were all kinds of creative people there: geeky, crafty, dangerous and all just plain fun.
